EPISODE 211: How the Word ‘Should’ Slows Down Weight Loss

Here’s what happens when you ‘should’ on yourself:

  1. you are putting unrealistic expectations on yourself and you’re slowly becoming a ticking time bomb.
  2. when this keeps happening over and over? Your normal feeling becomes ‘I’m not good enough’ with EVERYTHING you do.
  3. thennnnn we turn to food to cope.

INSTEAD – USE THE WORD ‘COULD’

It takes out the expectation and the judgment that shouldn’t even be there to begin with.

We see this all of the time with our clients. Instead of focusing on how far they’ve come, they want to fixate on how far they have left to go.

This way of thinking becomes a negative habit-loop that keeps you stuck in a cycle of feeling not good enough and doubting your ability to EVER reach your goal.

IT’S TOXIC TO YOUR SUCCESS.

Until you take on a mentality of ‘I could’ or ‘I will’ or ‘yet’…the word ‘should’ will keep you bouncing up and down the scale for YEARS.

Don’t you owe it to yourself to celebrate how far you’ve come?
